Vintage Comparison 2002 vs. 2003-Welcome to the culprate which promted me to start the "Vintage Comparison." Experienced customers know that we ask for a vintage substitution in the shopping cart area. We accidentally sold a customer the 2002 vintage when they only wanted the 2001. I assured the customer that the 2002 was terrific. I sent the cutomer one of the last 2001's off the shelf for free and asked them to taste it Blindly. They kept the 2002 with pleasure. Recently we compared the 2002 vs. 2003. Customers noticed a slight difference but too close to call. I thought 2003 smoooothed out. 2004 in Northern Italy was a great vintage and I can't wait to get a taste.

Shows aromas and flavors of forest fruits, with a hint of oak. Medium-bodied, with a well-balanced palate and a hint of vanilla on the finish. Nicely done. sept 30th 2007
