Castello di Bossi
With classy style and a thousand years of history, Castello di Bossi crafts elegant yet powerful wines, with unmistakable Tuscan character.
The Bossi Castle is located in the town of Castelnuovo Berardenga, the southernmost appellation of Chianti Classico, amidst evergreen woods and long rows of vines. Its history dates back to the 9th century. The estate has embraced modern technology, while at the same time respecting the traditional character of the lands of Chianti, and this has allowed for development and full growth potential. These were the essential goals of Marco Bacci as he brought Castello di Bossi to the highest rank in the realm of international wine.
The estate is led by a dynamic team that never shies from technological innovation, yet remains true to the terroir of Chianti. Marco Bacci is the mastermind of all operations. He follows, with care, all the details from beginning to the end. In the last ten years he added two other properties, Renieri in Montalcino and Terre di Talamo in the Morellino di Scansano appellation. Today Marco and his brother Maurizio own one of the best pools of estates existing in Tuscany, creating high quality wines from some some of the top Tuscan appellations. Jacopo Bacci, Marco’s son is employed by the company and is studying for the Agriculture Doctorate in Florence. The wine consultant is Alberto Antonini and Federico Curtaz is the agronomist.
